Honors and Merits
The intense labour of Andrés Segovia, his undisputed art and his tireless work to promote the guitar, have led to this universal musician to receive worldwide recognition, being worthy of awards, distinctions and honors of all kinds that we collect here.
Powerful reasons have made the musician the object of the most diverse tributes. It is true that any tribute is contingent, but when it is known that an instrument -the guitar- achieves, thanks to a man, an indeclinable and essential universal prestige, conquering for it, the world ahead, the love of millions of souls, then it is not enough to repeat the deserved of the tribute. In such a case, it is compulsory to proclaim the homage necessary.
